Chef’s Helper on iPhone and iPad
There is no App Store download yet, but you do not need one. Chef’s Helper runs as a full web app on iOS. Add it to your Home Screen in Safari and it behaves just like a native app, with its own icon, a full-screen view, and offline access.

Add Chef’s Helper to your Home Screen
1. Open Chef’s Helper in Safari
Visit www.chefshelper.app in Safari on your iPhone or iPad. Add to Home Screen is a Safari feature, so it will not appear in Chrome or Firefox on iOS.
2. Tap the Share button
The Share icon (a square with an arrow pointing up) sits in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen on iPhone, or top right on iPad.
3. Choose “Add to Home Screen”
Scroll down the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add in the top right. The Chef’s Helper icon appears alongside your other apps.

Recently viewed recipes and lists stay available offline, and recipe, prep, inventory and order changes you make offline are saved and synced once you reconnect.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a native Chef’s Helper app for iPhone?
Not yet. The Android app is available on Google Play, and an iOS app is planned. For now, iPhone and iPad users can install the web app to the Home Screen, which gives an almost identical experience.
Do I need a different account for iPhone?
No. Use the same Chef’s Helper account on iPhone, Android, and desktop. Your recipes, inventory, and team data sync automatically.
Why can’t I see “Add to Home Screen”?
You are most likely browsing in Chrome, Firefox, or an in-app browser. Open www.chefshelper.app in Safari and try again.
Does it work offline?
Yes, for the most part. Pages and data you have already opened remain viewable offline, and recipe, prep list, inventory and order list changes are queued and uploaded when your connection returns. Temperature and waste logs need a connection at the moment you save them.
